Hugs Weekend

In memory and in honor of Bonnie Underfoot, here are hugs from all of us to all of you. You will probably notice that most of our hugs look just a little bit like wrestling matches ~ maybe most of yours do too? Zeke, Sushi, Tiger Lily and Ruckus

Happy Birthday ML!

We want everyone to go over and wish Mommie ML a

Very Happy Birthday

today. She is so important to everyone on the Cat Blogosphere that we do not know what we would do without her! She and Daddy Charley and Charlie Cat have had a lot of troubles lately so we hope she has a very special day with lots of fun and relaxation and without any troubles.

Sunday Jigsaw

Click to Mix and Solve

I thought this Superb Starling from Jigzone.com would be fun for all of us who love (in one way or another) our feathered friends. The author of this puzzle is Christine Feehan and I have never read any of her books but I think Mom might have. I will have to ask her about that sometime (snicker).

My Daddy is doing very well after his surgery. I was just a little bit scared of the big black thing he had his arm in when he got home but it turns out it is just a sling that he has to wear almost all the time. He even has it on when he sleeps but I am able to snuggle on his elbow and he told me I do not hurt him.

Mom was all ready to take really good care of him but my Daddy likes to push himself a little. He is being really good though 'cuz he wants this surgery to succeed. He is ambidextrous (I learned a new word! It means he can use either his right hand or his left hand with 'equal ease'. I had to ask Mom how to spell it though.) so he just uses his right hand to do almost everything. We also watch a lot of movies. Mom does get to help him with the bandage and putting on his shirt and she does the cooking so she does not feel completely useless.

He has to go back to his VET to get the staples out of his shoulder on Tuesday. Mom will drive him there but if he is feeling good and does not have to take his pain meds after the VET visit he might drive home. I think Mom will probably drive home too.

Mom said we will be able to visit our friends but we will probably not have time to leave comments for a few days. I will try to post again later this week. I have about a squillion pictures from the clicky flashy boxes but I do not seem to be able to convince Mom she has time to fix them up for my blog. I think I might have to get a little tough with her. What do you think?

Happy Birthday to My Daddy

Here I am getting ready to snuggle with my Daddy for his birthday present today. I just love to take naps with him! He does not move around at all and he knows just how to put his hand on my back without making it too heavy. I prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr for my Daddy a lot. I think it helps him not hurt so much sometimes.

My Daddy has to go to the human VET later this week to have another surgery on his shoulder. It is something called day surgery so we will not be left alone for very long. The VET will clean up scar tissue from his earlier surgeries and will clean out the debris caused by bone rubbing on bone for all these years. If my Daddy still has enough rotator cuff left the VET will put in a new patch that might help keep the joint from moving wrong. We purray that when he heals from this surgery he will have much less constant pain.

The night before the surgery my Daddy will eat lots of sushi and sashimi and Mom will eat filet mignon. I was a little bit concerned that my Daddy would eat Sushi but Mom promised me that it is fish and not my sweet woofie.

Anyway ~ we might not be able to get around and comment very much until after this is all over 'cuz everyone here is busy getting stuff like cooking and putting food in the freezer done ahead of time so Mom does not have to think much about that while she is taking care of my Daddy. She said it is not so much that he wants her to do a lot for him but that she needs to keep him from doing too much before he should.

We all would appreciate your purrayers and tail wags and prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs and head bumps!

Easy Like Sunday

Now that I am 3 years old I decided I should give Mom a present for my birthday. Please do not any of you faint or anything but ~ this morning I let her pick me up and set me on her lap. Of course I have done that before but this time was special ~ instead of sitting there for 20 seconds and leaving I settled down into a loaf in the crook of her elbow and pushed my nose up against her body and prrrrrrrrrrrrrrd and prrrrrrrrrrrrrrd and prrrrrrrrrrrrrrd and insisted that she give me forehead smooches and cheek scritches and I stayed there for at least a squillion hours! (Note from Mom: This is the first time Tiger Lily actually snuggled on my lap. She stayed for about 15 minutes and it sure felt wonderful!)

Mom was not able to get proof of this with her clicky flashy box 'cuz her hands were just a little bit busy and she was afraid to call my Daddy 'cuz she knew that would make me jump down so I decided to post this picture of me just before I followed the sunspot across the carpet.

My Daddy is taking Mom to Bottomless Lakes State Park today so they can grill some pork steaks and hike a little bit and just enjoy being outdoors without having stuff to do in the yard. My woofies are going with them but Ruckus and I have to stay home. I do not think it will be hard for us because I am pretty sure I do not want to go anywhere near a bottomless lake. I hope they have fun though.

Have a great Sunday!

Two Birthdays!

Here we are in just about our favorite positions, just chillaxin' and enjoying ourselves.
Ruckus is 2 years old today and
I am 3 years old today!

I hope we get some extra Stinky Goodness tonight.

KC and Her Family

KC and her family have had a lot of troubles lately. Mom ML and Daddy Charley and Charlie Cat are all sick and Auntie Deb is helping keep us updated through KC's blog. Please purray and prrrrrrrrrrrr and wag your tails hard for them all to have the strength they need to get through everything and come out the other side even stronger.
