Our beautiful Raisin a'Ruckus does not live with us any more. We miss her but she had to go live with someone else.
Ruckus moved in with us when she was very young ~ just 4 weeks old. She came through our back fence and followed my Daddy up to the house even though she could not walk more than a couple of steps without wobbling. Mom and my Daddy could not find her kitty mom and they were not willing to leave Ruckus outside on her own with all the skunks who lived in the area. So ~ we had a new baby.
Two years later Ruckus has found a new home. I do not want to go into details of why and how it happened but it was definitely something she chose. She left us in a PTU so we know she was safe but we do not know exactly where she ended up living. We were told that as soon as she was released she climbed onto the shoulder of the man who had her and started purring, which she never did even once for Mom or my Daddy in the 2 years she lived with us. Mom thinks that we were just a way station for Ruckus and that she was using us until she knew there was someone else who would provide her real forever home.
Goodbye Raisin a'Ruckus. We hope you are very happy for a very long time.

Was Raisin still a kitten? We didn't quite understand the story, but we're kind of falling asleep at the computer. Jan has been keeping us up too late.
Hope Raisin is happy.
Did she leave the way she came, Just walked away ? WE want to know more!
We sure you will miss sweet Raisin a'Ruckus! We are so glad to hear she has a new forever home!
We hope our foster kittens find forever homes soon too!
I am sorry for the confusion caused by leaving out some of the story! I added a little bit to clarify the situation. (I think Mom misses Ruckus more than I do but please do not tell her that.)
We won't tell. But we think you're right, your mom misses Ruckus, even though she never purred for her. We hope Ruckus is content and well-cared for.
And cats are like that. They have been known to pack their bags and move down the street.
Thanks for clearing up Mom's confusion. She had a kitty when she was a kid that packed up, went over the hill and moved in with a friend of Mom's family! They brought Kitty Mac home a couple of times, but he went right back. Mom gave up and ask the friend to take care of him, which she did.
Re are glad Ruckus has found her furever home and is happy.
Sorry to hear Ruckus left you, but we are glad that her forever home was found too.Two years is a long time to be with a kitty, it's understandable to miss her a lot.
Hi Tiger Lily. Sometimes it is better for a kitty to be with a different set of people. Now you have your people all to yourself. If they are sad because Ruckus left, give them a head butt and a purr, and they will feel better.
Paws to you, Halloween
I'm sure Ruckus misses you but is going to be very contented in the new home. And I have a cat named Tiger Lily, too.
Check out my blog about a colony of abandoned/feral cats near my home. There will be stories there as time goes on that could inspire and inform anyone you know who wants to help homeless cats.

Would you add me to your blog list?
Thank you,

Hi Tiger Lily, we hope Ruckus is very happy with the man who adopted her. Her choice to leave, of course.
You must miss her though, after two years.
We hope your Grampa is doing okay, we are sending him some purrs and headbutts.
Take care,
Mindy, Moe, Bono, Cookie and Mike
